Have you ever felt like you weren’t doing enough things for the kingdom? In my life I used to agonize over not serving at church, not going door to door to share the gospel, now giving enough, and grow more discontent with how I am.

I recently been meditating on the idea of small consistent steps each day. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 says to “live a peaceful and quiet life, minding your own affairs, and working with your hands just as we instructed you. In modern American Christianity, we often think of doing something big for the kingdom of God. But I believe God is found in the small things that no one sees just as much as he is the bigger things.

Everything done out of love is kingdom work. From the greatest human achievements to the seemingly most insignificant acts of service, everything done out of love for God and others is kingdom work.

Life may get boring and uneventful at times. It may get very painful to the point where you just want to give up and can’t see a reason to continue on. Just know that nothing is insignificant in God’s eyes if it is done out love and service.
