“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” – Matthew 7:14
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. The narrow road that He is referring to is himself. The Bible is God’s general will, filled with principles for all believers to follow. It’s a blueprint for who to become and not necessarily what we do specifically.
God has a specific task, or path, for each of us to walk down. This path is expressed differently for each person since we have all been given different gifts and different measures of faith. To find this path, you must seek and listen for the answers.
The point I’m trying to make is that everyone’s path, no matter how differently the walk may look, all lead to becoming like Christ and is for fulfilling your calling here on earth. When you are on that path, you must never stray away from it no matter how hard it gets or how much you fail. So instead of asking God for specifics on what to do, ask him to show you the path you are to take and what that looks like for you.
You will find that the specifics of what to do aren’t nearly as important because there can be several different things you can do that all represent your path. Your path is laid out to fulfill your mission on earth and to become like Christ. Therefore, do not stress about specifics, but seek God’s presence and wisdom and He will guide you onto the path you are to take.
