One of the necessary keys that foster creativity is a clear mind that is at peace. This is something that you simply cannot assign a dollar value to. I know for me the fear and risk of not knowing what will happen holds me back the most.
To live the life God created us to live, we need to be able to emotionally handle fear of the unknown. I know for me finances are a big part of this. Jesus tells us plainly in Matthew 6 that he does not want us to serve money or worry about it. If you are anything like me, you know that this is much easier said than done.
So the question becomes how do we overcome our fear of the unknown? There are so many things to teach here and God clearly tells us that He will provide all our needs. The two main points I’m learning are about living according to biblical wisdom and a clear sense of purpose.
The gospel of Matthew mentions a couple of times that those who manage what they have well will be given more. Jesus is very clear on the subject of stewardship and that God will not bless anyone who is living foolishly. We have every reason to fear if we are living this way. However, if we are being wise, then we are open to receive more.
The second part is a clear sense of purpose. Matthew 6:33 says to seek first God’s kingdom and everything we need will be given to us. Jesus calls us to be completely devoted to God’s calling and purpose and that if we are driven and operating according to that purpose, he will always take care of us.
I firmly believe that if we follow Jesus on the path that he’s laid out for us, we can be assured that money will naturally follow. There is no need to seek more because we have everything we could want in Him. Therefore, we have one thing to do every day and that his to seek Him and follow Him and everything else will follow.
So don’t worry, everything will be okay!
